  • Maximum numbers reached for YRQ For the second year in a row, a record number of teams will push off from the banks of the Yukon River in downtown Whitehorse and make their way to Dawson City in the annual Yukon River Quest (YRQ).
  • Northwestel and Kumon improve in final standings Northwestel High Speed Internet and Kumon Learning were the top teams in Thursday Night Squash League action last week, each picking up 22 points for totals of 307 and 271 points respectively.
  • Vandelay Systems grabs 26 The Honda Hustlers were the top team in the Sunday Junior Squash League last week, taking home 31 points for a total of 268.

  • Assante finishes regular season on top Assante financial management was the top team in Tuesday Night Squash League action this week, grabbing 18 points for a total of 299 and hanging onto first place in the overall standings, as the regular season came to a close.
  • Canada Games torch lit for journey to North Pole OTTAWA� At a media event today on Parliament Hill, Minister of Sport Michael D. Chong launched the torch relay leading up to the 2007 Canada Winter Games, with a flurry of drumming, throat singing and activities for local area school children.
