• RBC Insurance program recognizes hockey volunteers RBC Insurance is currently holding their annual RBC Local Hockey Leaders Program, giving people across the country an opportunity to nominate their favourite hockey volunteers until the end of January.
• Strong performances from Yukon Ski Team at trials competition in Duntroon The Yukon Ski Team competed in its first major competition of 2008 on the weekend as the Haywood Noram race series resumed for the new year.
• Yukon Inn gets shutout in Oldtimers hockey game After a scoreless first period, Yukon Inn had a breakout second frame, scoring three goals against Edgewater to secure the victory in Sunday's game in the Oldtimers Hockey League.

• Dirt in pipelines forces delay at Mount Sima Mount Sima is hoping to have the T-bar area of the hill opened to the public by Thursday after discovering dirt and rocks remaining in two of their three pipelines.
• Bantam Mustangs play best tournament of season The Castlerock Whitehorse Bantam Mustangs played their most successful tournament of the season, finishing with a winning record and just falling short of winning the bronze medal.

• Duncans beat first place Castlerock in minor hockey league game Great play in all three periods helped the Duncans get the victory over Castlerock in the Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association's Bantam League on Sunday.
