• I'm desperately looking for Angel This is to the person who may have picked up my beloved Shih tzu puppy named Angel on Saturday on or near Centennial Street near Goody's, or to anyone who may have been so kind as to give her water, food and shelter.
• Product doesn't harm pets In response to the letter published in the Opinion section of the Wednesday, May 12 edition of the Whitehorse Star. Kelly MaGill of Inuksygaqrun wrote in with a letter she received in her e-mail warning her about the dangers of Swiffer Wet Jet use around pets.
• Power boaters: please slow down! This is a plea to power boaters cruising Miles Canyon via Schwatka Lake. Please slow down!
• Length of wait outrageous' The prime minister's new global health funding is great, but it merely allocates funding already announced in the February budget.

• Groups displaying odious behaviour' Recently it was reported that several anti-hunting groups have lost their charitable status due to the fact that they primarily engage in political activity and are thus not eligible for charitable status.

• Family helped save young lives I would like to thank some very special people in our community Con, Dorothy and Janice Lattin.
• Cartoon was belittling, demeaning' Re: your editorial cartoon of May 10. At a time when the world is reeling from the shocking and heartbreaking abuse of Iraqi persons held in detention in their own country, it is appalling that you could so trivialize the methods of torture and abuse perpetrated by the so-called liberators of Iraq.
• Swiffer Wet Jet claim is false Warning: alarmist e-mail can be harmful to your health. Wednesday's Star letter warning of the alleged danger to pets of Swiffer Wet Jet floor mops quoted an e-mail the writer had received.
• This group's demands won't end It is most perplexing to hear that after Svend Robinson's recent $50,000-theft and subsequent outcry of support across party lines on his behalf, Bill C-250, set in motion by Mr. Robinson, is now before the Senate awaiting approval.

• Lodge threatened Ed. note: this is an open letter to Health and Social Services Minister Peter Jenkins.
• This turbine has been a turkey! Re: Yukon Energy wind turbine. When will we hear of a good news story about Yukon Energy's infrastructure programs?
• Keep pets away from danger Re: Swiffer Wet Jet alert. I received this on my email Monday morning and believe it's pretty important to send out.
• I didn't get to say farewell There has been a death (Star, May 7).
• Member's bill rated coverage It amazes me that a private member's bill that passed unanimously on Wednesday, May 5, by the Yukon territorial government has received absolutely no media attention!
• Be forewarned Don't let yourself be duped by any officious wise guy who pretentiously claims to have taken over the Second Opinion Society to run it as if he owned it personally. It's too late for April Fool's.

• Even a dozen CHP MPs would help Regarding the scandalous matter that some American soldiers might be mistreating Iraqi prisoners, subjecting them to sexual abuses (and some of those photos, according to World Net Daily, are not even of Iraqis, but are old photos from porn sites on the Internet), I heard a priceless comment on CBC radio.
• Writer's illiteracy is troubling I'm not sure that paddles and bats have any place in a graduation 'hen' party, but what should concern us all, as evidenced in the photograph in your paper yesterday, is the apparent illiteracy of the person who wrote 'Put Bum Hear'.
• Prisoner tragedy/humiliation When you consider the extent of violence on U.S. TV and other media to which this younger generation (now in the military) have been exposed, is it any wonder they have been anathematized to violence and the dignity of the person, regardless of their nationality?

• Why won't the senator respond? A few weeks ago, I responded to a letter that was written by the unelected and unaccountable (U+U) senator who we in the Yukon had foisted on us by the Liberal party. In the letter the U+U senator wrote, she made a few assertions that I challenged.
• We had no response to this paternalism Subject: setting the record straight re. p. 5 article in Whitehorse Star, May 6, titled 'CMHA not marking Mental Health Week'.
