  • This bill is nothing less than a gag order Subject: Bill C-250 is a crime. Why do so many media outlets persist in misrepresenting Bill C-250?
  • Our loans are being repaid I am writing today as Archie Lang's partner in the companies that own the hotels in Watson Lake, and in regard to the loans that these companies have with the Government of the Yukon.
  • Can't see the forest for the YESAA In their rush to foist the Yukon Environmental and Socioeconomic Assessment Act (YESAA) project list and regulations on an unsuspecting Yukon, senior bureaucrats at the territorial and federal levels have been pointing over the border to the Northwest Territories (Bob) and Nunavut.

  • Your gun law claimed a life I am a firm believer in our God-given right to own and bear arms (self-protection). I am a supporter of the John Birch Society that reports regularly on the thousands of lives saved by armed citizens in the U.S. see:www.jbs.org

  • Accord pares first nation's loans burden I would like to take this opportunity to respond to a letter to the editor written by Dibs Williams dated April 20, 2004 regarding the recent rejection of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation (CTFN) land claim and self-government agreements.
  • Ignoring customers has a price Subject: the honesty of Whitehorse merchants. Like most reasonable consumers in Whitehorse, the first person you talk to when you have a problem with an article of merchandise is the merchant.
  • Civic pride in short supply I'd like to take this opportunity to thank some of the taxi drivers of Whitehorse for their civic pride.
  • I commend a federal minister From time to time, Canada makes news that lifts the spirit of the world. Today, I want to commend our Minister of International Development, Aileen Carroll, for creating such news.
