  • Xerox a major sponsor of the 2007 Games All of the printing and media needs of the 2007 Canada Winter Games have been met, after a major announcement in Toronto Thursday.
  • Government contribution to recreation fund increased After hitting rock bottom earlier this month, the Kids Recreation Fund received a financial shot in the arm from the Yukon government Thursday. The government announced it will raise the level of its assistance to the fund by $140,000, bringing the total to $200,000.
  • Speed skating shifts into high gear for upcoming season Twenty-seven skaters from the Whitehorse Rapids Speed Skating Club took to the Olympic ice surface at the Canada Games Centre on Sunday evening, for their first time trials of the season.
