  • More than 150 take part in Mayo marathon The 2007 Canada Winter Games sponsorship division has announced that a consortium of mining companies are the newest Games sponsors. Nine Yukon mining companies have joined together, to donate a total of $213,000 to the Canada Games Torch Relay.

  • Trois-Rivires to host the 2007 senior curling champs The Canadian Curling Association announced Tuesday, Trois-Rivires will host the 2007 Canadian senior men's and women's curling championships.
  • Hulstein and Westburg win W.A.R. The Yukon Orienteering Association held their W.A.R. and P.E.A.C.E. events, on the Whitehorse Adventure Run 2006 map, this past Sunday.
  • Five-year recreation plan a response to survey A survey of Liard First Nation community recreation needs and facilities conducted by the first nation in Watson Lake, and sponsored by the YTG Community Development Fund, has resulted in recommendations that reflect a strong emphasis on future development of recreation facilities and services, to meet the needs of first nation members in their own neighbourhoods.
