  • Monopoly mentality is alive and well! Ed. note: this is an open letter to Yukon Electrical Co. Ltd. and the City of Whitehorse.
  • PM's drug policy is a joke Stephen Harper must have a lot of friends who are drug dealers.
  • It's an excuse to get tough Once again, I've just seen another news item about the U.S. plans to tighten 'border security' by demanding either of certain far-out ID documents.
  • This is all about our schools Ed. note: this is an open letter to Whitehorse school councils. I wish to clarify the issue regarding the school planning exercise referenced in the Whitehorse Star of March 13.

  • We won't stand for second-class treatment I read the letter to the editor that appeared in the Whitehorse Star on Feb. 23, written by Bonnie Harpe.
  • Writer's is the true betrayal Re: 'Let's bring the troops back home' (Star letters, March 15). Diana van Eyk is mistaken to believe that our initial role in Afghanistan was to '.. .stabilize the country so it could be rebuilt.'
  • It's not a flattering licence plate I can think of three things to say about Bill Barnie's rendition of a new licence plate (Star, March 15): ugly, ugly, ugly.

  • It's time to decide on a policy for time On Nov. 2, 2005, I e-mailed John Edzerza, my local MLA and a minister in the Yukon government, with regard to the future of Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the Yukon.
  • I'm heartened that he's onside I am pleased to see we have finally 'flushed' city councillor Doug Graham out, and he seems to 'now' support the Canada Games (Star, March 14). I won't mention anything about 'flat feet', as that may appear rude.
  • Our troops deserve our support Canadians are in a national debate about whether our troops should remain in Afghanistan.
  • Let's bring the troops back home I resent the authoritarian manner Stephen Harper is using when dealing with the issue of our troops to Afghanistan.
  • I'm not ravin' over the raven I am a Vancouver resident who is now stuck with the world's worst-ever graphic logo for a Winter Olympics (a simplistic, static, faux Stonehenge pile of rocks).
