It would be quite easy to continue berating the City about the cost overruns on the Canada Games and Centre (Star, May 16); however, as I indicated last week, it would not accomplish anything.

  • Bear shootings left me heartsick I have just returned from my first visit to the Yukon, a journey which revealed spectacular scenery, an abundance of resources, and warm, friendly residents, most of whom expressed deep feelings of love and respect for the North.
  • This defection spurs reflection Yukoners should consider the facts closely before deciding whether Eric Fairclough's recent defection is a demonstration of opportunism amongst members of the Yukon Liberal Party.

  • Selfish' point of view was unfortunate Ed. note: this is a letter to Mayor Ernie Bourassa and city council. I attended last evening's council meeting with some trepidation, as I believed council was still intending to develop the Riverdale greenbelt at some point.
  • This practice has to stop! I give up trying to get any sense out of any politicians. They certainly don't understand mental health acts and related legislation.
  • Items needed for our auction The Whitehorse Church of the Nazarene is organizing a trip to Mexico City for nine Whitehorse youth and young adults at the end of July.
