  • This draft forestry plan isn't finished I want to clarify the Yukon Conservation Society's concerns about the offering of approximately one million cubic metres of timber to industry in the Champagne and Aishihik traditional territory.
  • Camp remained intact This past week, Takhini Elementary School, in partnership with the Skookum Jim Friendship Centre, held a First Nations' Culture Week at the school. Most of the activities took place outside, on the school grounds.
  • We're flying without navigation equipment I received many comments within a short period about my suggestion of a possible surtax to help pay for the overruns of the 2007 Canada Games and the Canada Games Centre (Star letters, May 17).

  • Youth society will get a cheque The numbers are added and the cheques are in. It's been another year of strong community support for the Law Day Committee fundraising efforts of the Yukon branch of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).
