The best of luck, and a healthy season It was great to hear about the success of so many Yukon soccer players cracking rosters at post-secondary institutions (Star, Sept. 28).
Make no mistake: this herd is our life I have recently retuned from Washington, D.C., where Melissa Mathession-Frost and I were participating in the grassroots lobby effort to permanently protect the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the core calving grounds of the Porcupine caribou herd from possible future oil development.

It reminded me of a fine song .... With the closing of the Taku (Discovery Bar), I am reminded of a song popularized by Mary Hopkins:
Latino Night was a lovely night I would like to express my thanks to the Latino Association of the Yukon for the lovely dance they hosted at the Yukon Inn on Saturday night.
These bars offered something special Proud and bountiful that's me in a nutshell.

What's next on your agenda? Our honourable Minister of Environment and Premier has shown his true colours and has established his legacy for years to come in one move.
So tourism is now a negative Well, that's it! Tourism is officially bad.

Let's ban our way to a better tomorrow! I have been listening to politicians and concerned citizens talking about banning handguns, and I think they just might be onto something.
