- Can we avoid the horrors seen in Ecuador? On Feb. 16, I attended the public consultation meeting in Tagish in regards to proposed oil and gas exploration from here to Carmacks.
- Think of the monarchs ... the Peel .... I thoroughly enjoyed Dawn Kostelnik's article (Feb. 17) about the monarch butterfly sanctuary at El Rosario in Mexico.
- We need public meetings, Premier Pasloski On Feb. 22, I attended the oil and gas open house meeting at the Yukon Transportation Museum.
- Ministers: Have the courage to ask the question! Re. the recent Tagish meeting on oil and gas exploration in the Yukon.

- Carbon monoxide: the signs, symptoms and dangers In light of the five people who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in their sleep here in Whitehorse late last month, I did a fair bit of research on carbon monoxide for my own sake and that of my renters.
- The three letters on the Peel issue omitted a vital word Re: "Disgraceful, disrespecful and probably illegal”; "Move makes a mockery of the process”; and "Peel position leaves me appalled and disgusted” (Star letters, Feb. 21).
- This ‘ill-thought-out' plan should be stifled Re: the Yukon government oil and gas request for posting.

- Peel position leaves me appalled and disgusted As a Yukoner, and as a participant in the Peel River plan and as the stakeholder of Midnight Sun Outfitting, I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with the arrogance of ministers Brad Cathers and Currie Dixon.
- Move makes a mockery of the process The Yukon outfitters operating within the Peel are dismayed at the Yukon government's attempt to destroy the Peel Watershed Land Use Plan.
- Your statement misrepresented the plan This quote came from the CBC transcripts of Energy, Mines and Resources Minister Brad Cathers' press conference on the Peel plan:
- ‘Disgraceful, disrespectful and probably illegal' Canadian mining and exploration companies have certainly been busy recently.
- You apologized from the heart, and it was appreciated by most I would like to thank the women's organization.
- Peggy Nash is my choice for NDP leader We're in difficult times with a majority Conservative government, but we're also in a time of enormous opportunity and hope.
