The boy's Canada Summer Games soccer team's head coach is Jake Hanson, who said he is pretty excited about his group of players.

"It's a really easy group of kids to coach," he said. "They are a real competitive, hardworking bunch and it doesn't take much energy at all or prodding to motivate them.

"They're self starters. We are just trying to teach and refine our tactics and style of play and preparation for the Games."

The Yukon also has a U-18 girl's soccer team competing at this year's Canada Summer Games, which was selected earlier in the year.

The 2009 Canada Summer Games are being held in P.E.I. for the final two weeks of August.
