Yukon Squash League action continued last week.

The action takes place at Better Bodies courts in Whitehorse with seven teams in two divisions challenging each other for local squash supremacy every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

In league play, five to six players per team battle one-on-one with their adversaries on other teams.

Matches are best-of-five games, and players earn team points for games and matches won.

In Division 1 play Tuesday night:

Yukon Tree Services uprooted Grizzly Electric 20-12, on wins by Gyanendra Singh, Lia Johnson, Kevin Smit and Gurmaan Rai.

Stantec Consulting doubled up on Ecological Logistics and Research 20-10, led by Jeff Muirhead, Jon Weller, Terri Cairns and Slav Bienko.

Chilkoot Chiropractic and Rehab Centre slipped by The Electrical Shop 12-10, with the three matches won by Ivan Johnson, Coleman Newell and Andrew Brown.

Landed Bakehouse had the bye.

In Division 2 play on Thursday night:

Northern Futures Planning defeated Steadfast Electric 15-10, with Neil Clark, Luke Bakica and Melanie Fortunato winning their matches.

Silver Ghost Contracting won four of six matches to defeat Arctic Training, led by Daniel Sokolov, Lindsay Knezevich, Jack Lanigan and Keely Kovac.

Meadia Solutions bested Precision North Mechanical 16-11; Daniel Buckler outlasted Chris Sutton over five games, and Daniel Sokolov and Maxime Mazoulle also emerged victorious.
