Chua's Games began last Friday after leaving for the competition on March 5. In his first three competitions, he has been putting up quick times and finishing in the top five.

In his first race, he medalled, picking up a silver in the 100-metre backstroke doing the race in 1:47.26. The silver was also Canada's first medal of the Games.

He next raced last Sunday in the 200-metre freestyle, placing fifth. Competing again Monday in the 100-metre freestyle, Chua just missed out on the podium coming in fourth.

This is Chua's second straight World Games appearance. He represented Canada in the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in cross-country skiing in Austria.
