The Yukon Selects will be hosting their annual Christmas Soccer showcase, a display of some of the best soccer talent in Whitehorse, Wednesday night at the Canada Games Centre Fieldhouse at 6 p.m.
Admission for the event is free.
"Last year the event drew hundreds of spectators,” said Jake Hanson, local player and coach.
"The guys who are off playing in college and university programs will be back in town and showcase the Territories top soccer talent,” he said.
Hanson is hoping a large crowd will be on hand once again to support local athletics and take in the action.
This year the Selects teams will be divided into players under 20 facing those 21 and older.
Last year the format was local Selects versus the athletes who were competing out of town for college and university programs.
After an exciting match, the local team came away with a 6-2 victory.
