Dave Pearson scored the only goal in a shootout, to give the Yukon Inn a 4-3 win over Medicine Chest in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Pearson also added a goal and an assist in regulation time, as the Inn stayed alive in the playoff hunt. The loss eliminated Medicine Chest.

Also scoring for Inn were Glen Heinbigner and Gerald Haase.

Mitch Malchow, Dave Bakica and Grant Lyon replied for Medicine Chest.

In the other oldtimers game Tuesday, the AON Flames sent the Firth Rangers looking for their golf clubs with a 9-2 victory. Dave Borud paced AON with three goals, and singles came from Bill Bohmer, Dave Milne, Brian Fedoriak, Chuck Austin, John Pereira and Lorne Burnett.

Tim Vincent replied with both goals for Firth.

Playoff action continues Thursday night, with Yukon Inn playing AON and the Performance Centre Turbos taking on the Klondyke Dental Molars.

Glen Heinbigner potted a pair of goals for the Yukon Inn as they downed the Edgewater Windsors.

Mike Blower and Bernie Adilman also found the back of the net while Dave Pearson finished with three assists and Greg Bull had one helper.

Steve McGrath notched the lone goal for the Windsors, assisted by Joel White and Guy Rook.

Firth Rangers 3

Kilrich 2

Brian Boorse contributed two goals for the Firth Rangers as they snuck past Kilrich.

Phil Bastien also scored for the Rangers while Al Hammond and Dennis Shewfelt picked up assists.

Wade Harrison provided both markers for Kilrich, assisted by Jerry Wald and Gerry Rivest.

Performance Centre Turbos 4

Medicine Chest Pharmacy 2

Alain Pelletier collected a pair of goals for the Performance Centre Turbos as they doubled Medicine Chest Pharmacy.

Bob Candow and Blaine Demchuk added goals for the Turbos.

Mitch Malchow and Kevin Neufeld hit the twine for Medicine Chest.

Klondyke Dental Molars 3

Scoring came from all corners for the Klondyke Dental Molars as they doused the AON Flames.

Ron Pearson, Larry Warner and Ken Vickerman lit the lamp for the Molars.

Bill Bohmer had the lone marker for the Flames.

Alain Pelletier tacked on a goal and an assist for the Turbos while Blaine Demchuk grabbed two assists and Tom Amson had one helper.

Tim Vincent and Phil Bastien replied for the Rangers, with assists going to Stu Mackay and Cam Eckert.
