Yukon College tops Community Challenge Table Tennis Tournament

The first Yukon Community Challenge Table Tennis Touraments was held this past Sunday at Whitehorse Elementary School.

The first Yukon Community Challenge Table Tennis Touraments was held this past Sunday at Whitehorse Elementary School.

Eight teams of two took part in the event, four men's teams and four women's teams.

Here are the results:

Men

1st Yukon College 1, won eight matches, 30 points

2nd MacPherson Rentals, won six matches, 26 points

(Gary Brown-Craig Shippey)

3rd Yukon College 2, won five matches, 17 points

4th Integraphics, won zero matches, one point

Women

1st Yukon College, won eight matches, 30 points

(Julie Hawkins-Christina Nie)

2nd Quantum Machine Works, won six matches, 26 points

(Rebecca Johnson-Myrna Bruns)

3rd Yukon Engineering, won four matches, 24 points

4th East-West Health Clinic, won four matches, 15 points

A reminder that the Yukon table tennis championships will be held Sunday at Whitehorse Elementary School. The junior events start at 10 a.m. while the adult events get underway at 1 p.m.
