Skookum netted the puck with less than two minutes remaining on the clock in the team's A divisional contest against the Whitehorse Midget Mustangs. His goal ended up being the game winner in Yukon Appliance's 5-4 victory.

Colin Dendy's provided the Kanucks with some insurance in the team's contest against the Jets on Sunday in the rec league's B division.
Dendys' second goal gave his team a two-goal advantage, while the team's other scorers included Shawn Kolak, Harley Bowe and Rob Vance.
Jon Osborne scored twice for the Jets and Chris King netted the remaining goal.
Castle Rock Ent. 8, Bantam Mustangs 5
It was an action packed second frame in Sunday's contest between Castle Rock and the Bantam Mustangs.
Both teams ended up combining for nine goals, with Castle Rock scoring five and the Mustangs netting four.
John Van Langen and Derrick Hynes led the way for Castle Rock, each scoring twice, while the team's remaining goal scorers were Ken Olsen, Wade Hanna, Ron Kulych and Mike O'Connor.
Castle Rock finished with 28 shots on net, recording 14 in each period.
Scott Meredith was the top goal scorer for the Mustangs, sending two into the back of the net, while Gibson Pearson, Michael Hare and Gage Aird finished with one goal.
The Mustangs had 37 shots on net, including 22 in the first frame and 15 in the second period.
Y.E.S. Jets 11, Summit Savages 5
Cody Mitchell scored a hat trick for the Y.E.S. Jets Saturday against the Summit Savages.
Other multi-goal scorers for the team included Kris King and Geoff Quinsey, while Jon Osborne and Dean Nakamura each chipped in one goal.
Adam Scheilenberg contributed three assists for the Y.E.S. Jets in the win.
Aaron Coates, Chris Kostelinik, Cory Magnuson, Jesse Armstrong and Logan Freese each scored for the Summit Savages.
Kwanlin Kanucks 13, Castle Rock Ent. 3
Kevin Smith and Rob Vance combined for six goals on Saturday for the Kwanlin Kanucks. Each player finished with a hat trick.
Other Kanucks' goal scorers included Hurley Bowe and Shawn Kolak, who each chipped in two goals. Jesse Bowe, Gus Morberg and Calvin Morberg scored once.
Nick Fraughton contributed three assists in the Kanucks' victory.
Mitch Malchow, Gord Campbell and John VanLangen scored once for Castle Rock.
