Yukon Appliance finishes on top of atom hockey division; Klondike Motors wins bronze

Two close contests wrapped up this year's atom division in the Whitehorse Minor Hockey League last weekend.

Two close contests wrapped up this year's atom division in the Whitehorse Minor Hockey League last weekend.

The gold medal game featured an entertaining battle between Yukon Appliance and Cinderwood.

Despite a valiant effort, Cinderwood ended up losing the game 5-3.

Jesse McCuaig finished with four goals for Klondike Motors, while the team's other scorer was Jamie Limoges.

Jonas Leas finished with two and Ryan Troke scored once for Cinderwood.

The bronze medal game was played between Klondike Motors and Gem Gas. Klondike Motors ended up winning 7-6.

Zachary Ascuchak led what was a balanced scoring list, netting a pair of goals for Gem Gas.

The team had four other scorers , including Patrick MacDonald, Jared Morgan, Damien Homis and Joe Stokes.

No goal scorers were supplied for Klondike Motors.
