Cousins Ryan and Joe Martin put on a offensive show for the Yukon Appliance Blues Tuesday night, notching five goals between the two of them as the Blues shocked Boston Pizza/Cardinal Contracting 8-4 in the Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League A division chmapionship final.

After 22 minutes, and a goal scored by one of their own players, Yukon Appliance was down 3-0 to Boston Pizza thanks to two goals by Barry Blisner and one from James Edzerza. Edzerza and Derek Johnstone picked up two assists while Blisner and Jay Massie each had one helper.

But Ryan Martin got the Blues on the board about five minutes into the second period.

Cousin Joe Martin followed up with a second goal a mere 20 seconds later. Then, with only 13 minutes left in regulation and down one, 'Hanson Brothers' Rob Wells, Clayton Thomas and Jeff Monkman performed a little tick-tac-toe for Yukon Appliance, tying the game at three. Wells potted his second goal of the game just under three minutes later, making it 4-3 for the Blues.

The Blues were on fire, but Boston Pizza wasn't quite done. With about seven minutes left, Mike Nikon tied the game again with assists by Mike Young and Bryan Curial.

That was as close as the pizza crew would come though, as Kenny Anderson netted a goal for the Blues with assists from Spencer Hornoi and Thomas.

Joe Martin also scored again, assisted by Hornoi and Tom Minard, and Ryan 'Dunlop' Martin finished with a hat trick, making it an 8-4 win for Yukon Appliance and giving them the title of Recreational Hockey League A division champions.

In the recreational hockey B/C division playoff game Tuesday, it was:

Sports North 4

Subaru 2

It was a complete team effort for Sports North as they doubled Subaru.

Terry Jackson, Rick Olson and Mike O'Connor scored in the first period for Sports North, making it three nothing heading into the second. Assists went to Jackson, O'Connor, Rick Sudeyko, Kenny Olson and Alain Desrocher.

Tyler Murray notched a pair of goals for Subaru in the second, with an assist to Pat Anderson.

But Desrocher put the game away for Sports North, scoring with just 11 seconds left. Dale Kulych was credited with the assist.

Sports North and Subaru will face off against each other one more time to decide this year's B/C divison champion.
