Yukon Appliance beats Canucks by two goals in hockey league

There wasn't a dull moment in Sunday's Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A divisional game between Yukon Appliance and the Cinderwood/Air North Canucks.

There wasn't a dull moment in Sunday's Whitehorse Recreational Hockey League's A divisional game between Yukon Appliance and the Cinderwood/Air North Canucks.

Both teams combined for 16 goals, with Yukon Appliance coming out on top, winning 9-7.


Yukon Appliance 9, Cinderwood/Air North Canucks 7

Spencer Thomlin was the leading scorer for Yukon Appliance, netting two goals in total.

The team's remaining goal contributors were Todd Monkman, Glen Skookum, Wyatt Drift, Chris Pollard, Eric Kositin and Chris Goodman.

Drift also finished the game with four assists.

Darrel Sturko had an incredible game for Cinderwood/Air North, finishing with four goals, while Ryan Kinney also played very well, scoring twice.

Ryan Gleason scored once for the Canucks in the loss, while Kirk Gale finished with three assists.
