The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada announced today that 150 tickets for the Western Hockey League game will be made available specifically for Yukon communities outside of Whitehorse.
The WHL game is a regular season game between the Vancouver Giants and Kamloops Blazers, which will be held on Feb. 12. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. with the puck drop at 4:10 p.m. at the Takhini Arena.
"We wanted to ensure that all Yukoners had an opportunity to purchase a ticket regardless if you are in Whitehorse or one of the communities,” LOC vice-chair
George Arcand said. "People who live in the communities will have the option to purchase tickets for a limited time by phone only.”
The Yukon community allotment of WHL game tickets will go on sale by phone on Jan. 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. PST. The number to call to purchase your ticket for the WHL Game is 1-866-295-0605. Tickets are priced at $30 and there is a limit of two tickets per person. The limit per person is to allow as many people as possible to have access to tickets.
Tickets must be mailed to a Yukon community address.
"More tickets for the WHL game will go on sale to the general public in the near future,” LOC chair Walter Brennan said. "This allotment and selling time are specific to Yukon communities.”
