Good goaltending was key in helping the Whitehorse Star's U-15 soccer team win the Toonie Tournament this weekend.

The Star took on Wintemute Electric in the final game, winning 4-3.

"The last couple minutes there was a lot of pressure from the other team,” said coach Teresa Banks. "Our goalie was just awesome.

"There was good goaltending on both sides.”

Her team was made up of four girls and three boys.

"They all played together really well,” said Banks.

The semi-final berth was decided based on goals for and against each team, after three teams had a 2-1 win record.

Banks said the four teams in the division are very well matched.
