Yukon skiers had another strong showing at this year's Buckwheat Ski Classic, held this past weekend.

This was the 23rd annual Buckwheat race, which is held north of Skagway.

50-km Classic Mass Start: Mens'

First place: David Greer, Whitehorse, 3:12:07.9

Second place: Knute Johnsgaard, Whitehorse, 3:16:40.6

Third place: Dave Brook, Whitehorse, 3:28:01.3

50-km women Classic

Mass Start: Womens'

First place: Madeline Williams, Canmore, Alberta, 3:23:40.4

Second place: Sara Nielsen, Whitehorse, 3:48:36

Third place: Jane Vincent, Whitehorse, 3:49:53.4

25-km Classic Mass Start: Mens'

First place: Scott Weersink, Stratford, Ont., 1:40:28.1

Second place: Brett Weersink, Stratford, Ont., 1:41:00.3

Third place: Dan Reimer, Whitehorse, 1:45:12.5

25-km Classic

Mass Start: Womens'

First place: Miriam Lukszova, Whitehorse, 2:03:32.3

Second place: Jen Moran, Whitehorse, 2:11:44

Third place: Lene Nielsen, Whitehorse, 2:19:04.5

10-km Classic Mass Start: Mens'

First place: Caelan McLean, Whitehorse, 0:43:56.3

Second place: Aidan Millar, Canmore, 0:45:50.4

Third place: Gerry Kress, Juneau, 0:54:02.2

Canmore's Chloe Neil placed first in the womens' mass start race with a time of 0:48:08.6.

Adrienne Hynes, Whitehorse, took second at 0:48:22.2 and third went to Yukoner Anett Kralisch.
