The stands were packed with family and friends for games in the tykes division.

This was the first game action Tykes players saw all year, which created plenty of excitement both on and off the ice.

Playing three 12-minute periods (with a running clock) the Tykes ended clock runs (3x12 minute, running clock periods)

The Wild won the gold in the tykes division, while the Flames placed second and the Canucks came in third. The Penguins came in fourth.

Besides gold, silver and bronze, all of the tykes players were given a Tim Horton's medal with the inscription 'The first goal is having fun' written on it.

The players did just that, while also developing their skills and learning to play as a team.

The bantam division also featured four teams, which included Coldwell Banker, EBA, Northwestel and Castlerock.

Members of the PeeWee Mustangs were also divided amongst the four squads, with Castlerock receiving the most at seven.

With a record of two wins and one tie, EBA finished with the most points after the round robin.

Northwestel came in second (two wins and one loss), Duncans placed third (one win, one tie and one loss) and Castlerock was in fourth with an 0-3 record.

Castlerock found its form in the semi-finals, beating EBA by a close 3-2 score. EBA scored in the last minute, but weren't able to get the tying goal before time expired.

Castlerock goaltender Yugi Blackburn stood on his head in the semi-final matchup, turning away more than 40 shots.

The other semi-final featured a 3-2 score, with Duncan's coming out on top.

Duncan's player Blake Roy got his team off to a quick start in their gold medal game against Castlerock, scoring eight seconds into the game.

From there, Duncan's added five more goals to win 6-1.

Northwestel won bronze, beating EBA 7-4. The team scored two goals in the final five minutes to put the game out of reach.

In the peewee division's gold medal final, two goals from Liam Webster carried Powerade to a 4-2 victory over Canaccord Capitals.

Landon Worsfold and Damien Terry accounted for the remaining two Powerade goals.

Kole Comin netted both goals for Canaccord.
