Four judo athletes struck double-gold at the second major meet on the Yukon calendar last Saturday.

Anneke Aasman, Kaleb Parry, Rogan Parry and Daniel Tonner each took home two gold medals from the Northern Lights Judo Championships, held at École Émilie-Tremblay.
Medals were up for grabs in 17 fighting divisions and three knowledge categories at the school, located in the Copper Ridge neighbourhood.
Aasman earned two gold medals in U10 categories, while Tonner cleaned up in U14 action. The Parrys’ medals were won in U12 divisions.
Other winners included Jayden Leenders, who edged out Darien James-Tizya in U18 action.
Other U10 category winners were Gage Albertini, Mannix Bingham, Lia Hinchey and Souleymane Sangaré.
Samual Bradet, Jaymi Hinchey and Taylor Legge won individual golds in U12 categories, while Dylan Anderson was also a winner in U14 action.
Knowledge category victors were Jayden Iskra, Emersyne Sias and Taylor Legge.
In total, 83 matches were fought with 46 judokas competing from all four Yukon clubs.
The next tournament will be held in Carcross, Jan 23.
