The Holiday Sport Celebration was a showcase of the strong sports culture in Yukon and allowed sport groups to gather for some festive holiday cheer. An announcement highlighting sponsors of the Games and their contributions was made at the Celebration co-hosted by Games' organizers, which was held in the lobby of Sport Yukon on Friday.
"The corporate community is a vital component to the success of these Games and it's important as a Host Society we take time to recognize the contributions being made,” said Jason Bilsky, vice president of
sponsorship for the Whitehorse 2012 Arctic Winter Games.
"Sponsorship with the Arctic Winter Games provides an opportunity for businesses large and small to support healthy, active living, develop sport excellence and celebrate circumpolar friendship.”
Sponsors at a variety of levels have contributed both cash and in-kind products and services towards the 2012 Games. To date 20 companies have signed-on as sponsors, they include:

In Whitehorse the Arctic Winter Games will take place from March 4 to 10, 2012.
The Arctic Winter Games is the world's largest northern multi-sport and cultural event, with participation from Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, northern Alberta, Nunavut, Nunavik, Quebec, Greenland, Yamal, Russia and Sámpi.
It is a celebration of athletic competition, culture, friendship and cooperation between northern contingents. Funding Partners include the government of Canada, government of Yukon, Lotteries Yukon and the City of Whitehorse.
