Vandelay Super Geeks pull even in squash league; team scores 21 points on Saturday

The Vandelay Super Geeks bettered its previous week's performance by an impressive six points, which moved the team up in a two-way tie for first place in the Junior squash league.

The Vandelay Super Geeks bettered its previous week's performance by an impressive six points, which moved the team up in a two-way tie for first place in the Junior squash league.

In two outings, the Super Geeks have accumulated a total of 36 points, which equals Care and Share Family Help for top spot in the league's standings.

Vandelay benefitted from three six point performances, which is the maximum number of points an individual can score in the squash league.

The team defeated the Canada Flooring Crushers 21-10 on Saturday at Better Bodies fitness centre.

Karissa Hryniuk and Jack Woodwalker each scored six points in their three game match up, while Stephen Grundmanis also contributed six points in his four game win.

Kelly Panchyshyn chipped in the team's remaining three points.

Points are given for each game won, a match victory, wearing the team T-shirt and helping out as an referee.

Joel Brennan scored six points for the Canada Flooring Crushers, while Sophia Flather chipped in two points.

Arturo Calvo and Graydon McDonnell also scored for the Crushers.


Pacific Northwest Moving Haulers 17, Care and Share Family Help 17

Riley Smoler and Jeanette Carney each scored six points for the Moving Haulers.

The Moving Haulers are currently in fifth place in the league's standings with 17 points.

Anna Lee Jacobsen and Will Parker each scored six points for Care and Share Family Help, while Rebecca Magro finished with three points in the tie.
