With the top three teams in the league all losing Thursday night, local eight-ball league standings continue to tighten up.

League-leading Yukon Jack could only sit back and watch their lead shrink as they lost 6.5-2.5 to fourth-place Team Awesome.

Awesome’s Irvine Melancon and Himanshu Thapar led the way with 72- and 74-point games, respectively.

The second place Bad Goatees were only able to gain a half point on the leaders however, as they lost 6-3 to the Cunning Stunts.

Meanwhile, the match between the third place Ramblin’ Rowdies and Alpha Cues proved to be a back-and-forth affair, with the Cues pulling off the third upset of the night with a 5-4 victory.
