It was an evenly matched night on Sunday in the Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League, with both contests ending in a draw.

Sunday's contest was the beginning of the 2008-09 season for the league, which features eight teams in total.

Klondike Dental Molars 6,

Performance Centre Turbos 6

Adam Green and Rob Miller led the way in scoring for the Molars, notching two goals a piece.

Other top point producers on the team included Tim Turner-Davis and Alain Pelletier who each finished with one goal and one assist, while Laurie Malo chipped in for two assists.

Performance Centre Turbos top goal scorer included Jim Giczi, who notched two goals in the draw.

Other goal scorers on the Performance Centre Turbos included Gord Kuchler, Bernie Adilman, Woody Bennett and Dennis Zimmerman.

Glen Heinbigner finished with two assists, while Grant Lyons, Jason Cunning and Matt Sills each had one assist for the Turbos.


Firth Rangers 3, AON Flames 3

Stu Mackay was the scoring leader in the game, notching two in total for the Rangers, while Ron Limoges netted the team's remaining goal.

Grant Lowey, Phil Borgel and Jeff Hunston finished with one assist for the Rangers.

Balanced scoring was crucial for AON in the their contest against the Rangers.

The team had three separate goal scorers, which included Scott Lowery, who added one goal and one assist, while Blaine Demchuk and Brian Eyolfson also chipped in with one goal for the squad.

Kelly Collins led the way in assists with two in total and Wade Harrison finished the game with one assist.
