Turbos douse Flames in playoffs

Laurie Malo picked up a hat trick for the Performance Centre Turbos as they put out the AON Flames 5-2 in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League playoff action Wednesday.

Richard Trimble added a goal and an assist for the Turbos while Guy Rook also found the back of the net. Martin Trudeau, Garth Frank, Bill Watson and Blaine Demchuk each finished with an assist.

Jim Giczi and Al Hammond provided the offence for the Flames, with assists going to Darrin Fredrickson, Phil Roszell and Dave Borud.

In the other oldtimers playoff game Wednesday, it was:

Kilrich Industries 4

Edgewater Windsors 2

Wade Harrison collected two goals and an assist for Kilrich Industries as they doubled the Edgewater Windsors.

Joel White and Bruce Williams also scored for Kilrich while Jerry Wald posted three assists. Lorne Burnett and Peter Grundmanis were each credited with an assist.

Brian Boleen netted both goals for the Windsors, assisted by Dan Lang, Gilles Archambault and Grant Lyon.
