TRAINING BEGINS – Members of Team Ts’alvit work on their paddling technique at the Whitehorse pool, Thursday. The Yukon River Quest voyageur team began training Jan. 9 ahead of the 2016 race, set for June 29 to July 3. Pool training is combined with cross-country skiing, swimming and cycling in preparation for a strong race performance. The team plans to hit open water in early March.
