The trail running season isn't over yet.

Eleven runners met in theWhitehorse General Hospital parking lot last night to take on the steep inclines of a trail system which included Hospital Ridge Trail, Longlake Ridge Trail and Hilarious.

The route challenged runners with intense climbing to start but leveled off on the

ridge, offering vistas of snow-capped mountains and downtown Whitehorse.

The next Sportslife Thursday Night Trail Run will take place on Oct. 7. Runners will meet at Grey Mountain Cemetery at 6 p.m. to take on an approximately eight kilometer route (rated moderate) which includes RIP, Bypass Trail, Mula Girl, Hilarious, Broken Truck and Boogaloo North.

The group will meet again on Oct. 14, tentatively Oct. 21 and Oct. 23.

Check the Athletics Yukon website (www.athleticsyukon.ca) for further details.
