Total Trac Yukon to meet Super A in Mountainview Golf League final

Winners of the two semi-final playoffs were declared at the Mountainview Men's Thursday Golf League using Individual Match Format.

Winners of the two semi-final playoffs were declared at the Mountainview Men's Thursday Golf League using Individual Match Format.

Total Trac Yukon defeated Pour Rite Construction in a extra hole playoff after the two teams ended the first nine holes even. Each team won two matches, so an extra hole was needed to decide the winner.

Total Trac Yukon has had an exceptional year in the Palmer Division, so far. The team finished regular season play by scoring two points, which gave them 89 in total for sole possession of first place.

The next best team in the Palmer division was Missing Links, which finished with 86, while Matco Transportation rounded out the top three with 81 points.

Other teams in the Palmer division included, Feature Foods, Northwestel, EMCO Ace Holes, Yukon Tire Mechanical, P & M Recycling, Macdonald & Co., Sandor's Selects, Skookum Asphalt, Royal Bank, Ketza Construction, Howie's Hackers, Roadhouse Offsales Relics and Northern Knights.

Super A defeated Missing Links 5 points to 3 in their match in the league's other semi-final.

Super A finished with 75 points, which was only three points better than runner up Pour Rite Construction.

Other teams in the Nicklaus division include third place finisher Pacific Northwest Moving, MacKay LLP, The Chain Gang, Shoppers Drug Mart, Kal Tire, Narrow Gauge, Irving Collision, Triple "J" Services, Olson Construction, Whitehorse Business Mach, Talmark Construction and the Roadhouse Bar & Grill.

This week will feature a battle between the two top division finishers as Total Trac Yukon is set to take on Super A in a match to declare the League Champion.

The balance of the 28 teams will play a fun round starting at 5 p.m.

There will also be a steak barbecue in the club house that will follow the competition.
