TOP YUKONER – Whitehorse musher Hans Gatt drives his team off the Yukon River into the village of Kaltag during the 2014 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race last Saturday. Gatt was the first Yukon musher to complete the 1,000-mile race, in ninth place. Tagish musher Michelle Phillips placed 20th. BOB HALLINEN / Anchorage Daily News
