Top teams set blistering pace in road relay

The 25th annual Klondike Trail of '98 International Road Relay was held this past weekend.

The 25th annual Klondike Trail of '98 International Road Relay was held this past weekend.

As reported in Monday's Star, about 1,300 runners and walkers took on this year's event, with the runners starting in downtown Skagway Friday night and the walkers setting out from Carcross Saturday.

They were all greeted at the finish line in Rotary Peace Park in Whitehorse, where organizers hosted an awards ceremony and dance Saturday night.

Here are the top three results, as well as the top Yukon team, in each category:
