Third bi-weekly orienteering meet of 2008 gets great turnout
Orienteers of all ages and skill sets showcased their abilities on Wednesday at the third bi-weekly meet of the 2008 season.

The most recent meet was held in the Goldenhorn area and featured four different courses of competition that individuals could enter.
The beginning course, which was open to both individuals and teams had 11 finishing times in total. The overall distance was 1.5-km.
Lynda MacKeigan made every second count, finishing the race in first place with an incredible time of 13:46.
Shawn Kitchen posted the next best time, coming in a little over four minutes later at 17:56 to take the second position.
The team of Ben Traynor and Justin Enns worked very well together and rounded out the top three with their time of 19:04.
The intermediate course was 2.75-km in total distance.
Liam Kiemele was the only orienteer to break the 30-minute mark, coming in at 26:00, while Caelen McLean was the next individual to complete the course, posting a time of 31:02.
Perry Hynes was right behind both of them, finishing at 31:41.
It was a close finish in the 4-km short advanced course, which saw Kendra Murray and Dahria Beatty each post times of 51:18 to share the top spot.
Ryan Kelly was not far behind and recorded a time of 51:36.
Pam James won the 6.25-km long advanced course, clocking a time of 67:05, while Jim Hawkings placed second, finishing the at 91:24.
Wednesday's long advanced course featured the highest climb for this week's meet at 210-m.
