Three local billiard players pulled out the brooms in nine-ball action Nov. 4.

Cory Waters, Ed Lepp and Ron Stanyer had many players wondering where their game went as all three swept their matches at Porter Creek Billiards.

The resulting six-point total moved Stanyer into a tie for second overall in league standings while Lepp moved up into a tie for fifth.

Rob Sinclair continues to lead the pack by two points over Stanyer and Bob Edzerza.

Then in eight-ball action Nov. 5, the much-anticipated battle between the first-place Ramblin’ Rowdies and second-place Yukon Jack resulted in the Rowdies doing some ramblin’ in the wrong direction and Yukon Jack leapfrogging them into first place.

The match was a back-and-forth affair until the sixth round when Yukon Jack took command and finished strong for a 6-3 win.

The loss dropped the Rowdies to third.

In other matches, Dave Scheer was a force for the Crooked Cues in their match with the Kids in the Hall as he posted a perfect 80-point night.

Regrettably it was in a losing cause as the Kids – led by captain Dave Griffiths – were dominant in a 6-3 win.

Scheer’s teammates declined to comment on possible reasons for the paltry support given to their star.

And speaking of perfect, Sinclair is also to be commended for his 80-point performance and leading his team Chalk ’n Awe to a 6-3 win over the Limp Sticks – propelling his team into seventh.

Elsewhere on the tables it was the Odd Balls dropping to fifth following a 5.5-3.5 loss to the Wobbly Pockets and the Alpha Cues jumping into a tie for first with a 6-3 win over the Cunning Stunts.
