Team effort for Rangers in lopsided win over Turbos

Scoring came from all corners for the Firth Rangers as they overpowered the Performance Centre Turbos 10-3 in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action Sunday.

Scoring came from all corners for the Firth Rangers as they overpowered the Performance Centre Turbos 10-3 in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action Sunday.

Tim Vincent recorded a hat trick for the Rangers while Brian Gundmundson picked up a pair of goals and an assist. Sean McAskie notched a goal and a pair of helpers while Al Hammond and Stu Mackay each had a goal and an assist. Bill Watson and Mike Kenny also hit the twine while Cam Eckert, Brian Boorse, Dennis Shewfelt and Phil Bastien each finished with an assist.

Laurie Malo claimed a pair of goals and an assist for the Turbos while Jeff Jensen chipped in a goal and two assists. Tom Amson and Bruce Demchuk were each credited with one helper.

Kilrich 4

Yukon Inn 3

Peter Grundmanis potted a pair of goals for Kilrich as they snuck past the Yukon Inn.

Gerry Rivest tacked on a goal and an assist for Kilrich while Tony Clennett also scored. Aubyn Coad and Pete McPeake were each awarded two assists while Harvey Jessup had one assist.

Greg Bull replied for the Inn, netting two goals and an assist. Frank Thomas scored the additional goal while Woody Bennett claimed two assists. Glen Heinbigner and Craig Steinbach each grabbed one helper.

Medicine Chest 7

Edgewater Windsors 2

Jordan Borgford had a big game for Medicine Chest, notching three goals and two assists as his team downed the Edgewater Windsors.

Kevin Neufeld tacked on a pair of goals for Medicine Chest while John Mahoney had a goal and two assists. Mitch Malchow picked up a goal and an assist while Grant Lyon, Phil Roszell, Brian Eyolfson and Carl Burgess each finished wth one helper.

Al Lane and Morley Lessard scored for the Windsors, assisted by Ernie Jamieson, Brent Stokes and Russ Knutson.

AON Flames 3

Klondyke Dental Molars 1

Jim Giczi, Lorne Burnett and Martin Trudeau provided the offence for the AON Flames as they burned the Klondyke Dental Molars.

Gord Kuchler, Ron Daub and Doug Janzen were credited with the assists for the Flames.

Bernie Heffner potted the lone goal for the Molars, assisted by Paul Sahagian.

Tim Vincent posted a pair of goals for the Firth Rangers as they yanked the Klondyke Dental Molars.

Dennis Shewfelt, Stu Mackay and Brian Gundmundson also lit the lamp for the Rangers while Brian Boorse grabbed two assists. Al Hammond and Dave Ecker each had one assist.

Kem Vickerman got the Molars on the board, assisted by Bob Allison and Gary Boyd.

Kilrich 5

Edgewater Windsors 3

Peter Grundmanis was on fire for Kilrich, scoring four goals as his team defeated the Edgewater Windsors.

Gerry Rivest added a goal and two assists for Kilrich while Paul Lacowicz claimed three helpers. Tony Clennett had one assist.

Russ Knutson, Gary Vantell and Rick Blaker found the back of the net for the Windsors, assisted by Steve McGrath, Joel White and Morley Lessard.
