Taking the plunge: ‘Freezin’ for a reason’

The mercury in the thermometer only read -2 C last Saturday.

DIVING IN TO SUPPORT SPECIAL OLYMPICS YUKON – The mercury in the thermometer only read -2 C last Saturday. Accompanied by the sun, it was a beautiful warm day for those watching the Law Enforcement Torch Run polar plunge in support of Special Olympics Yukon. It wasn’t as warm for those who took the walk to the pool. The water was still icy and as they entered the ice bath the chilly temperature was etched on their faces. The plungers donned their best costumes as they took the dip. It was a great afternoon for an excellent cause.
