Takhini Gas gets come from behind win in women's basketball league

Trailing at the halfway point, Takhini Gas was able to get the 59-58 victory over Airport Chalet on Sunday in the Whitehorse Women's Basketball League.

Trailing at the halfway point, Takhini Gas was able to get the 59-58 victory over Airport Chalet on Sunday in the Whitehorse Women's Basketball League.

The team's victory was thanks in large part to a clutch three point shot drained by Nathalie Gionet at the buzzer.

Gionet finished the game with 22 points, which led all scorers on Takhini Gas.

Sukie Sihdu also played well for Takhini Gas, finishing the game with 14 points.

Sarah Crane finished with the most points on Airport Chalet with 18, while May Nygen also played well, scoring 14 points.

Kopper Kweens 67,

Feature Foods 38

Michelle Massie finished with 22 points for the Kopper Kweens, while Ann Jirousek and Julie Cossette each netted 13 in total.

Angella Ell scored nine points for Feature Foods and Diedre Davidson finished the game with eight.
