Sterling Insurance squashes competition in league play

It was a battle between the two top teams in the Thursday Night Squash League when first place Sterling Insurance took on Electrical Shop.

It was a battle between the two top teams in the Thursday Night Squash League when first place Sterling Insurance took on Electrical Shop.

Thanks to another strong team outing, Sterling Insurance was able to get a three point victory and increase its lead in the standings.

Sterling Insurance has 157 points after 10 weeks of league competition, while the Electrical Shop has 131 points.


Sterling Insurance 16, Electrical Shop 13

Sterling Insurance players Mark Beese and Amy Leach each scored the maximum six points that is awarded in an individual match up.

Darrin Sinclair also played very well for Sterling Insurance, finishing with three points, while Neisha Bicudo contributed one point.

Tara Matechuk and David Buckler combined for 12 points for Electrical Shop.


Underhill 14, Kumon Learning 13

Jeanette Carney and Sophia Flather each scored six points for Underhill, while Nora Mooney was the only player to record six for Kumon Learning.


Emco 15, Uniglobe Specialty Travel 13

Lara Trotter recorded six points for Emco, while Leonard Linklater posted six points for Uniglobe.
