Squash Yukon’s league play is winding down before the playoffs ramp up.

There have been two complete rounds of play with one to go before playoffs commence. Only the top four teams will make it into the post season.

The teams last played on Tuesday, more exciting divisional play was held on Thursday.

The players that went the distance (nail bitters to five games) were:

Kamron Idress (Grizzly Electric Yukon) vs. Stephen Buckler (The Electrical Shop) 14-12, 3-11, 11-6, 6-11, 5-11. Buckler was the victor.

Jay Blakeston (Stantec) vs. Adam Humphrey (Chilkoot Chiropractic) 11-8, 11-5, 5-11, 1-11, 5-11. Humphrey completed the comeback after being two down.

Jonathan Gorton (Better Bodies Cross Training Center) vs. Victor Lavanderos (Yukon Tree Services) 8-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-3, 11-5. Lavanderos came out on top of the closely contested match.
