Six local squash players are primed and ready for the holiday season thanks to their Reservoir Dogs victory.

Mr. Red earned the 2015 Reservoir Dogs title, followed in the standings by Mr. Green, Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Black and Mr. Blue.

For their victory, Mr. Red team members Jane Bell, Michael Tillbrook, Tony Radford, Zoe Walker, Erika Joubert and Sean MacDonald took home the event’s biggest score – 36 bottles of wine.

Mr. Green players (Peter Mather, Jason Steele, Grant Woo, Jon Hawkins, Cathy MacDonald and Susan Whitty) got 24 bottles to distribute amongst themselves, while Mr. White (Dylan Letang, Stephen Buckler, Glenn Rudman, George Maratos, Brian Larnder and Jaime Whitty) nabbed 12.

Thirty-six players took part in the annual round-robin event, held Friday and Saturday at Better Bodies Fitness in Whitehorse.

The tournament is based loosely off the 1992 film of the same name about a botched diamond heist.

The event has a Toby Keith-like twist that sees red Solo cups placed at strategic locations in the court.

Bonus points are awarded when the cups are hit, allowing players to score massive amounts of points during the 25-minute games of no-stoppage play.

Best in their position for most cups hit were: Tyler Nesgaard (Level 1), Lori Muir (Level 2), Radford (Level 3), Hawkings (Level 4), Emily Sheff (Level 5) and Katrina Russell/Susan Whitty (Level 6).

Continuing with the event theme, each of these players received a single bottle of wine.

Yesterday, players returned to the courts for Tuesday night league play.

League-leading Earls Kitchen & Bar beat Yukon Tree Services 19-14, Ecological Logistics and Research downed Better Bookkeeping 19-11, and Urban Realty fought their way out of the cellar by edging Assante Financial 18-13.

Meanwhile, Chilkoot Chiropractic is unbeaten in Thursday night play, and is sitting pretty with 97 points.
