The Tuesday and Thursday night squash leagues are almost finished their first round of play for the season, out of three.

It's been an exciting time for squash in Whitehorse, held at the Better Bodies Cross Training Centre.

This past weekend Better Bodies hosted the Reservoir Tournament, which squash pro Marie Desmarais says was very successful.

The next tournament to be held here will be the Squash Yukon Open Tournament on Feb. 25 to 28. The tournament will be attended by local and Outside players.

Squash Yukon, governing board has recently gone through an election. Jim Gilpin was elected president, Chris Toleman treasurer and Chris Cullingham, Leslie Buchan, Pam Zinck, Patti Flather and Joanne Heyes are now directors at large. Desmarais was chosen as sport coordinator as well.
