In three squash courts in a gym far, far away, Squash Yukon hosted their Squash Wars tournament on Saturday at Better Bodies. The tournament featured five divisions.

The Men's A/Open division was won by Julien Revel, who outlasted Stephen Grundmanis in a five game-thriller. Fans watching described it as a "real nail biter."

For bronze, Jordan Barker needed four games to defeat Ehsan Idrees.

The division featured a host of quality squash. The game to decide the fifth-place finisher was a back-and-forth battle between Stephen Buckler and Jonathan Hawkins.

Both competitors had their full repertoire of shots on display for the gathered crowd. Buckler was the one left standing at the conclusion of the match edging Hawkins 11-9 in the final game.

John Williams and Adam Humphrey stepped onto the court and closed the door to decide who would become the Mixed C champion.

Williams needed just three games to earn the top spot. In the bronze medal, game Sean Lee defeated Kyle Nault in four games.

The Mixed B division was won by Ivan Johnson who defeated Thibaut Rondel in the final game. Alex Jobin was able to outlast Ava Cairns-Locke for third.

Susan Whitty needed all five games to get past Emily Bouchard to come out as the Mixed D champion. In the battle for third, Darwin Murray needed four games to defeat Noah Kurzynski.

The final bracket was the Women's B/C category. In another five-game thriller, Lara-Rae Trotter came out victorious over Shayna Haley.

The battle for third also went the distance and Jean Beckerton outlasted Katie Mercier to notch the win.

The Squash Wars tournament marked the end of the squash season.
