Billiards league leader Rob Sinclair capped a brilliant 2015 on a high note last week.

In nine-ball play at Porter Creek Billiards, Sinclair took home top honours in the A division, beating out Bob Edzerza in the final of the triple-elimination tournament.

For Edzerza, the loss was a sign of things to come. Dropped to the B division, he again made it to the final, only to lose to Rae Gartner.

Dropped to the C division, he wound up losing to longtime rival Dave Griffiths in that final.

At the end of the tournament, Edzerza was quoted as saying: “Now I know what it feels like to be a bridesmaid.”

In eight ball, the first half of the season wrapped up with a fun Scotch Doubles tournament.

The entry fee was non-perishable food items for the Whitehorse Food Bank.

In the end, the Wobbly Pockets edged out Chalk ‘n Awe and Yukon Jack for the title.

Play resumes the week of Jan. 4.
