The Rendezvous recreational hockey tournament was held this past weekend in Whitehorse, with eight teams in two pools battling it out against each other.

Southern Tutchone pulled out the win in the A pool final, squeaking past the Yukon Appliance Blues 8-7 in an exciting battle.

Ryan Gleason and Scott Horsey dominated the offence for ST, each netting three goals and an assist. Ian Kuster added a goal and two assists for ST while Ryan Hodgins also found the back of the net. Matt Horsey finished with three assists while Cody Joe had two helpers and Jonathan Carlick picked up one.

Joe Martin replied for the Blues, collecting three goals and two assists. Clayton Thomas tacked on three goals and one helper while Tom Minard also hit the twine. Jeff Monkman and Rob Wells were each credited with two assists while Chris Thomas grabbed one assist.

In the B pool final, Boston Pizza grounded the Air North Jets 11-6.

Derek Johnstone led the attack for BP, notching two goals and adding three assists. Dean Mastrangelo and James Edzerza each posted two goals and one helper while Ed Peart potted a pair. Mike Nikon claimed a goal and four assists while Mike Young finished with a goal and one assist. Doug Cook and Jay Massie each picked up an assist.

Greg Charlie scored two goals and added an assist for Air North. Wesley Marsh tacked on a goal and two assists while Shawn Kinsella had a goal and one helper. Ryan Kinney and Jeff Foster also lit the lamp for the Jets. Ben Cole and Ben Harper were each credited with a pair of assists.
