SOCCER FEST SHORTENED BY HAIL – Michael Sumner and Jayden Demchuk pursue a loose ball during Soccer Fest Friday. Held at Vanier Catholic Secondary School, the event was put on by the Yukon Schools’ Athletic Association and featured students from Académie Parhélie, Vanier, St. Elias, Porter Creek and F.H. Collins. Scores were not kept, as the event was meant to simply promote an active lifestyle. The event was held over two days but ended prematurely Friday afternoon due to hail.
