Snowboarders vie for places on 2024 AWG team

Trials for the Arctic Winter Games snowboard participants took place Saturday.

Trials for the Arctic Winter Games snowboard participants took place Saturday.

They consisted of two events, the individual timed race on the snowboard cross course and a slopestyle in Pokey Park.

The results were announced Thursday morning. Making the team are U14 females Eva Benkert and Danee Marsh, U14 males Leo Spiers-Leung and Seamus MacDonald, U16 females Aven Sutton, Ginger Macdonald and Lily Harvey (alternate), and U16 males Stian Langbakk, Will Stenzig and Tycho Roy Gelinas (alternate).

I’m so very pro us and happy to see my granddaughter Lily doing her best for Whitehorse team Yukon and enjoying the competitions! I wish her and all of Yukon competitors the best of health and luck!
